Emmka's last summer

It's been a year since I posted last pictures.....I even struggled with loggin in.... this time I don't want to promise that it'll get better....but I'll try....

Here are few pics from Emmka's last year birthday (yesterday she turned 4)!!!

...her first swimming lesson.....she didn't manage it to the pool - she's sat there for 30 minutes and we paid 20 euros!!! Next week, she's starting a new swimming course, hopefully, after a year, it'll be better!

Emmka's life after Christmas

Emmka's life after Christmas has changed dramatically. Since January she's attending a kindergarten and she absolutely loves it! She wants to go there even during the weekends!
I also have to admit she takes after daddy a lot! Every day she's given me all kinds of statistics .... e.g. who wasn't in the kindergarten, who's still wearing diapers, who cried, who doesn't want to eat and what....
I'm afraid next year she'll start working with Excel and use all this information for some serious statistical research.

Christmas 2009

Finally a new post and the first one from Slovakia!

Yes, Emmushka is officially living in Slovakia! After being born in the U.S., spending two years in Belgium, she moved to Bratislava last December and right now she's enjoying her grandparents, cousins...etc.

Here are a few pictures from the last Christmas. Emmka got many many gifts....whenever we went for a visit she found the gifts under Christmas trees. In Slovakia it's little Jesus who's bringing gifts. Emmka told me that she saw Jesus at the church and that he was working there!

This is Emmka's friend Sophia....it's been a year since they saw each other. They grew up so much!

New Year's Eve! I still cannot believe it but Emmka went to sleep at 1 a.m.!!! She had a lot of fun with her cousin Filip, she sang, danced....etc....

Summer 2

Emmka's second half of the summer was as exciting as the first one. For once, I cannot complain about the weather in Belgium because we had a lot of sunny days, moreover, the fall was also surprisingly warm and without rain.

This is Emmka's new summer activity. Mommy and daddy finally got their bikes and started to explore the surroundings of Brussels. One day we "discovered" a nice windmill and a castle.

At the end of September Emmka went for a quick visit to Slovakia to celebrate the 390th anniversary of her mom's village.

In Oostende - the only glimpse at the sea this year.... I still cannot believe that there were people swimming in the North Sea! Maybe it's not evident from this picture but it was really cold there and we only took a fast stroll and then went to the restaurant.
